As a young child growing up in Cumberland County, some of my fondest childhood memories are of working on building projects with my Dad, who instilled in me a genuine interest in construction and remodeling. Before becoming a home inspector, I spent 30 years as a manager in a manufacturing setting where I gained extensive knowledge of both plumbing and electrical systems. I have stayed involved in building and remodeling to some extent throughout my life before deciding to pursue my interest in home inspections.
In order to best serve my clients, I have completed an extensive formal education in home inspection as well as personalized training from experts in individual fields. I am certified, insured and licensed by the state of Tennessee. While I take every measure to arm myself with as much knowledge as possible, I realize that there is always more to learn. My education is ongoing in order to stay current on new technologies and building standards, ensuring that I am qualified to do the best possible job for you. I also maintain relationships with a network of professionals specializing in the different systems of your home. If I run into a situation I am not familiar with, I will consult with an expert in that field to get the additional information needed to advise you. I am passionate about my work and am dedicated to assisting you in making the most informed decision possible on the purchase of your home.

I grew up in rural West Virginia and made my way to the beautiful Cumberland Plateau in 2001. I couldn't imagine living anywhere else on earth.
My background is primarily in business and management. I am not a licensed inspector and have no desire to crawl in your crawlspace. However, I have invested my time in mirroring James' education closely. This allows me the extensive knowledge needed to better serve our clients.
In addition to administrative and marketing aspects, I am also the initial contact person for the clients. I will assist you in scheduling your inspection. coordinate with all agents involved, and get the necessary documents ready for your signatures.
Completing the educational process also allows me to be well informed and capable of answering any questions that may come up prior to or after inspections. James, however, remains available to his clients as well. I am also able to speed up the reporting process by writing the reports before he is even able to return to the office. He then verifies the accuracy of each report before sending the report link out to the client.
As in all areas of our life, we work together to be the best possible team that we can be and to deliver our client's a smooth and efficient experience during an often stressful, overwhelming time.
